About Recalls.ie
Recalls.ie brings every Irish product recall into one place. We currently track 1,171 recalls from 4 official sources, so people in Ireland can quickly check whether a product they own has been recalled, and what to do about it.
Irish recalls are spread across three separate government bodies, each with its own website and its own way of publishing notices. Recalls.ie exists because there was no single, searchable place to check them all. We built one, and we add real work to each notice so it is quicker to understand and act on.
What we add to every recall
Every recall page is more than a copy of the official notice. For each one we:
- write a short plain-English summary, so you do not have to decode official wording;
- pull out the details that matter and lay them out clearly: the affected batch codes, best-before or use-by dates, model or serial numbers, the shops or marketplaces involved, the type of hazard, and the action to take;
- answer the questions people actually search, in a short FAQ on the recall;
- cross-reference the recall by category, retailer, brand, hazard and year, with full-text search across everything; and
- link straight back to the official notice so you can read the source in full.
On top of the recalls themselves, we write plain-English consumer guides (how to check a product or a car for recalls, and your refund rights) and publish a statistics overview of Irish recalls over time.
Where our data comes from
We do not issue recalls or make safety judgements of our own. Every recall on this site is sourced directly from an official Irish or EU regulator, and each recall page links back to the original notice so you can verify it yourself.

How we keep it accurate
- We check the official sources continuously and publish new recalls within minutes of them appearing.
- Every recall shows its original source, the publication date, and when we last checked it.
- We mirror the wording of the official notice and never add severity claims or advice that isn't in the source.
- When a source updates a notice we mark it amended; when a notice is withdrawn we keep the page live with a clear banner rather than deleting it.
