Char‑Broil Europe GmbH is recalling certain Char‑Broil Patio Bistro E2Coal and Patio Bistro Cube E Electric Grills.  

Electric Grills

The product presents a risk of electric shock. The grounding wire for the heating element on certain recalled Patio Bistro Electric Grills may not be fully tightened. This creates the potential for disconnection of the grounding wire and loss of fault protection, posing a risk of electric shock. 

The brand is Char-Broil. Units of the following models manufactured between October and December 2025 are being recalled:

The electric grills were sold in full-size and tabletop configurations in Black and Grey finishes. The “Char‑Broil” logo appears on the front of the lid. EAN codes are located on the product packaging. 

The product label identifies the model and serial number, including the manufacturing date code. The label is located on the bottom shelf of full-size grills and on the side bar of tabletop models. The 4-digit date code, in YYMM format, is part of the unit serial number. Only Patio Bistro Electric Grills with date codes 2510 (Oct-2025), 2511 (Nov-2025) and 2512 (Dec-2025) are recalled. 

There are approximately 33 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The products were sold by the following retailers:

  • Kilquade Patio Center Limited, Dunboyne
  • Horkans Garden Centre, Castlebar
  • Johnstown Garden Centre Limited, Naas

What to do:

Customers should stop using the product immediately and should contact Char‑Broil for a free repair kit.

Consumers who submit the required proof confirming completion of the repair will receive a 50£ digital reward code, redeemable at a wide selection of participating retailers. Consumers who prefer not to repair their unit may instead request a free replacement unit.
