Char-Broil recalls Patio Bistro Electric Grills due to electric shock risk

Char-Broil Europe GmbH is recalling specific models of their Patio Bistro Electric Grills, including the Patio Bistro E2Coal and Patio Bistro Cube E. The recall is due to a potential risk of electric shock caused by a grounding wire that may not be securely tightened. This issue could result in the grounding wire disconnecting, which compromises safety and poses a risk to users.

The affected models were manufactured between October and December 2025 and include specific item and model numbers. The grills were sold in both full-size and tabletop configurations, available in Black and Grey finishes. Approximately 33 units in the Republic of Ireland are impacted, and they were sold at various retailers, including Kilquade Patio Center Limited and Dunboyne Horkans Garden Centre.

Consumers are advised to stop using the grills immediately and contact Char-Broil for a free repair kit. Those who complete the repair process will receive a £50 digital reward code, while customers who prefer not to repair their grills can request a free replacement unit.
