Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) is carrying out a recall of certain Citroen Berlingo and Jumpy model vehicles.

Some vehicles equipped with the DV5R engine are likely to have engine failure with loss of power caused by slippage of the water pump pulley (loss of tight fit), which would result in the misalignment of the timing belt and engine shutdown. In the worst-case scenario, this problem can lead to the detachment of the sprocket of the water pump pulley from the shaft, which can lead to the loss of parts on the road.

 

There are 358 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 15 October 2025 and 02 March 2026.

Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) is carrying out a recall of certain Citroen C3 Aircross V3, C3 V5 model vehicles.

Some vehicles may have been assembled with contact, or insufficient clearance (< 10 mm), between the tube of the petrol particulate filter and the terminal protection cap of the 48 V belt-driven starter alternator. In wet conditions, the insufficient clearance and possible contact between these components can lead to water infiltration, causing an electric arc which may trigger a thermal event, such as overheating. In the worst-case scenario, this could lead to a potential risk of fire in the engine compartment.

 

There are 33 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 21 February 2025 to 21 May 2025.

Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) is carrying out a recall of certain Citroen C3 Aircross V3, C3 V5, C4 V3, C4X model vehicles.

Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) is carrying out a recall of certain Citroen Jumpy model vehicles.

The risk description reported to us is that some Citroën Jumper NG vehicles may have been equipped with fuel return pipes which do not comply with the specifications. The pipe is less elastic and has lower thermal stability. This could lead to an insufficient connection between the fuel return pipe and the valve, leading to a fuel leak. The possibility of fuel coming into contact with hot parts cannot be ruled out, which in the worst-case scenario could cause the vehicle to catch fire.

There are 12 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 07 January 2025 to 22 July 2025.

Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) is carrying out a recall of certain Citroen Berlingo, C5 Aircross, Jumpy model vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby certain Citroën Berlingo, C5 Aircross and Jumpy vehicles fitted with a DV5R engine may have a fuel leak. The non-conformity of the round shape on the cone of the common rail may cause the nut to loosen, with a potential fuel leak between the nut and the thread, leading to fuel vapours and fuel flow to the hot exhaust system. In the worst-case scenario, this may lead to a fire under the bonnet.

 

There are 204 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 26 July 2025 and 08 October 2025.
