Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) has announced a recall affecting multiple Citroën models, including the C3 Aircross, C3, Spacetourer, Jumpy, C5 Aircross, and others. The recalls are due to various safety concerns, such as insecure brake pedal support that could lead to brake failure, emissions issues from faulty diagnostic tests, and malfunctioning airbag systems that could result in serious injuries during deployment.
The affected vehicles were produced between specific dates in 2020 and 2025, with a total of 192 vehicles for the C3 Aircross and C3 models, 48 for the Spacetourer and Jumpy, and 548 for the C5 Aircross, among others. Citroën has identified that certain vehicles may have high-voltage battery issues that could lead to overheating or fire, while others may experience problems with airbag inflators that could burst with excessive force.
Owners of the affected models are advised to stop driving their vehicles immediately in some cases, particularly for the C4 and C3 models, until the necessary repairs or replacements are completed by authorized dealerships.
