Gowan Distributors Limited (Citroën Ireland) has announced a recall affecting multiple Citroën models due to identified safety concerns. One significant issue involves the brake pedal support in certain Citroën C3 Aircross and C3 models, which may not be securely attached, posing a risk of brake failure. Additionally, Citroën Spacetourer and Jumpy vehicles may not meet emissions regulations due to diagnostic test failures, while C5 Aircross vehicles have a malfunctioning Stop&Start function that could lead to increased CO2 emissions.

Another critical recall involves Citroën Aircross models, where faulty high-voltage batteries could overheat and potentially cause fires. The Spacetourer and Jumpy models are also being recalled for a risk of front suspension bolt breakage due to corrosion, which could lead to unpredictable handling. Furthermore, certain Citroën C4 models are under a stop-drive recall due to a risk of airbag inflator failure, which could result in severe injuries during deployment.

Citroën C3 and C-Zero models are also subject to a stop-drive recall due to the deterioration of Takata airbag inflators, which could burst with excessive force in an accident. Lastly, a voluntary recall has been issued for various models equipped with high-voltage batteries due to software errors that may affect vehicle performance. Customers are urged to stop driving affected vehicles immediately and contact their local dealer for repairs.
