Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) recalls certain Fiat model vehicles
19 March 2026
Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Fiat Grande Panda, 600 model vehicles.
Some vehicles may have been assembled with contact, or insufficient clearance (< 10 mm), between the tube of the petrol particulate filter and the terminal protection cap of the 48 V belt-driven starter alternator. In wet conditions, the insufficient clearance and possible contact between these components can lead to water infiltration, causing an electric arc which may trigger a thermal event, such as overheating. In the worst-case scenario, this could lead to a potential risk of fire in the engine compartment.
There are 166 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 25 February 2025 to 23 January 2026.

Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Fiat Doblo, Scudo model vehicles.
A safety issue has been identified whereby certain Fiat Professional Doblo and Scudo vehicles fitted with a DV5R engine may have a fuel leak. The non-conformity of the round shape on the cone of the common rail may cause the nut to loosen, with a potential fuel leak between the nut and the thread, leading to fuel vapours and fuel flow to the hot exhaust system. In the worst-case scenario, this may lead to a fire under the bonnet.
There are 52 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 25 July 2025 to 10 October 2025.
