Fiat recalls certain Doblo, Scudo, Grande Panda, and Ducato vehicles due to fire risk

Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) has announced a voluntary recall for several Fiat vehicle models due to various safety concerns. The recall affects Fiat Doblo and Scudo vehicles equipped with the DV5R engine, which may experience engine failure due to slippage of the water pump pulley. This issue could lead to misalignment of the timing belt, resulting in engine shutdown and potential loss of parts on the road. A total of 43 vehicles produced between 15 October 2025 and 24 February 2026 are affected.

Additionally, certain Fiat Grande Panda and 600 models are being recalled due to a risk of fire. These vehicles may have been assembled with insufficient clearance between the petrol particulate filter and the starter alternator's terminal protection cap. In wet conditions, this could allow water to infiltrate, causing an electric arc and potentially leading to overheating. This recall affects 166 vehicles produced between 25 February 2025 and 23 January 2026.

Furthermore, Fiat Ducato vehicles are being recalled because they may have been fitted with fuel return pipes that do not meet specifications, which could lead to fuel leaks. This recall impacts 46 vehicles produced between 19 March 2025 and 04 July 2025. Lastly, certain Fiat Doblo and Scudo models may also have a fuel leak due to a non-conformity in the common rail, posing a fire risk. This affects 52 vehicles produced between 25 July 2025 and 10 October 2025.
