Gowan Distributors Limited (Opel Ireland) has announced a voluntary recall for specific Opel Grandland model vehicles. The recall is due to a safety concern regarding the fixing screws on the front left and right ball joint mount of the front lower suspension arm, which may break. If two screws are missing, the ball joint mount could pivot, causing the affected wheel to change direction and potentially hit the mudguard, which may compromise the steering of the vehicle.
The recall affects 612 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between May 8, 2024, and February 27, 2025. Owners of these vehicles are advised to contact Opel directly or their local Opel dealer to arrange for necessary repairs. Gowan Distributors Limited will reach out to affected customers to provide further instructions on how to proceed with the recall process.
