Gowan Distributors Limited is carrying out a compulsory recall of certain Jeep Avenger passenger vehicles.
Some vehicles may have been assembled with contact, or insufficient clearance (< 10 mm), between the tube of the petrol particulate filter and the terminal protection cap of the 48 V belt-driven starter alternator. In wet conditions, the insufficient clearance and possible contact between these components can lead to water infiltration, causing an electric arc which may trigger a thermal event, such as overheating. In the worst-case scenario, this could lead to a potential risk of fire in the engine compartment.
There are 96 affected vehicles in the Republic of Ireland that were registered here between 09 March 2023 to 18 December 2025.

Gowan Distributors Limited is carrying out a compulsory recall of certain Jeep Wrangler and Cherokee passenger vehicles.
For certain HV battery packs, cells prone to so-called separator damage may have been installed in isolated cases. In rare cases, such damage, combined with other complex interactions in the cell, may lead to a vehicle fire. Such a fire may pose an increased risk of injury to both the occupants of the vehicle and to persons outside the vehicle.
There are 6 affected vehicles in the Republic of Ireland that were registered here between 01 July 2020 to 25 November 2025.
