Gowan Motor Distribution DAC is recalling specific Alfa Romeo Junior vehicles due to a safety concern. Some of these vehicles may have been assembled with inadequate clearance between the petrol particulate filter tube and the terminal protection cap of the 48 V belt-driven starter alternator. This lack of clearance can lead to contact between the components, which poses a risk of water infiltration in wet conditions. This situation could result in electric arcing and overheating, potentially causing a fire in the engine compartment.
The recall affects 39 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 27 November 2023 and 18 December 2025.
