Ford recalls multiple vehicle models due to various safety hazards

Henry Ford & Son Limited has announced a voluntary recall for multiple Ford model vehicles due to various safety concerns. One issue involves certain Ford Capri and Explorer models where the seat back may detach due to a faulty screw connection, posing an injury risk in accidents. Additionally, some Ford Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect vehicles may experience freezing screens that could lead to malfunctioning safety features like the reversing camera and parking sensors, increasing the likelihood of accidents.

Another recall affects Ford Fiesta, Puma, Tourneo Courier, and Transit Courier models, where a chafing fuel line could lead to leaks and potential fire hazards. The Ford Kuga is also being recalled due to a manufacturing defect in high voltage battery cells that could cause internal short circuits, leading to fire risks and loss of propulsion power. Furthermore, certain Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier models have brake line issues that may cause leaks, while some Transit Connect vehicles may have insufficient lubrication in the rear axle, risking loss of vehicle control.

The recalls affect specific batches of vehicles produced between various dates, with a total of several thousand vehicles impacted in the Republic of Ireland.
