Henry Ford & Son Limited has announced a voluntary recall for multiple Ford model vehicles due to safety concerns. One issue involves certain Ford Capri and Explorer models, where a faulty screw connection may cause the seat back to detach, increasing the risk of injury during an accident. This affects three vehicles produced between 18 August 2024 and 19 September 2025 in the Republic of Ireland.
Another recall concerns the Ford Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect models, where a freezing front entertainment module screen could lead to malfunctioning safety features like the reversing camera and parking sensors. This could mislead drivers about obstacles behind the vehicle, heightening the risk of accidents. A total of 273 vehicles produced between 17 August 2023 and 27 March 2024 are impacted.
Additionally, the Ford Fiesta, Puma, Tourneo Courier, and Transit Courier models are being recalled due to a potential fuel line chafing issue that could lead to leaks and fire hazards. This affects 5,080 vehicles produced between 19 November 2021 and 24 September 2024. The Ford Kuga models are also recalled due to possible defects in high voltage battery cells that could result in fire and loss of propulsion, affecting 2,712 vehicles produced between 20 August 2019 and 28 November 2023.
Other recalls include the Ford Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier models for brake line leaks that could lead to brake failure, and the Ford Transit Connect models for insufficient rear axle lubrication that may cause wheel locking. Consumers with affected vehicles should contact Henry Ford & Son Limited or visit their nearest Ford service point for further assistance.
