Henry Ford & Son Limited has announced a voluntary recall affecting multiple Ford models due to safety concerns. One major issue involves the Ford Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier, where the handbrake may slip, potentially leading to a complete loss of handbrake function and an increased risk of the vehicle rolling away. This recall affects 62 vehicles produced between September 1, 2025, and November 24, 2025, in the Republic of Ireland.

Another concern arises with the Ford Capri and Explorer models, where rear axle joints may not have been properly tightened. If these joints become loose, it could lead to steering misalignment and, in severe cases, loss of control. This recall impacts 2 vehicles produced between February 20, 2025, and November 10, 2025.

The Ford Kuga is also being recalled due to a potential internal short circuit in the high-voltage battery, which poses a fire hazard and may lead to loss of propulsion power. This affects 4,144 vehicles manufactured between August 2, 2019, and November 28, 2023. Additionally, the Ford Transit Custom has a risk of excessive gassing in the 12V batteries, which could allow harmful gases to enter the driver compartment, affecting 8,108 vehicles produced between August 1, 2021, and December 8, 2025.

Consumers who own any of these affected vehicles should contact Henry Ford & Son Limited at 1800 771 199 or visit their website to find the nearest service point for further assistance and to arrange necessary repairs.
