Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Tourneo Courier and Transit Courier model vehicles.

In some vehicles, the handbrake may slip. A slipped handbrake may result in a complete loss of handbrake holding power. In the event of a handbrake cable slipping and the handbrake not functioning, the vehicle may unintentionally roll away which increases the risk of an accident.

 

There are 62 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 01 September 2025 and  24 November 2025.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Capri and Explorer model vehicles.

The rear axle joints may not have been tightened to the required torque during assembly. If an affected joint comes loose completely, the driver may notice a misalignment of the steering wheel when driving straight. In severe cases, the joint may fail without warning, resulting in a rear wheel losing directional control. Although the brakes remain functional, this instability could increase the risk of accidents.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Kuga model vehicles.

There is a risk of an internal short circuit occurring in the cells of the high-voltage battery. In the event of an internal short circuit occurring in a high-voltage battery cell, the message ‘Stop vehicle’ and a warning symbol appear on the dashboard. This constitutes a fire hazard. There may also be a loss of propulsion power, which increases the risk of accidents.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Transit Custom model vehicles.

Risk of excessive gassing in affected 12V batteries. Given that there is no vent tube, hydrogen sulphide gas may enter the driver compartment from under the front seat.

Insufficient distance between the wiring harness and the transmission housing may result in damage to cables. The power-assisted steering may fail. There is a risk of fire due to short circuits and a risk of accidents.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Transit model vehicles.

A number of Transit Custom vehicles are equipped with a ZF Lifetec passenger airbag that needs to be replaced due to a manufacturing defect. Under normal driving conditions, this defect does not affect the operation of the vehicle. However, in the event of a collision leading to the deployment of the airbag, the inflator tube may rupture. This rupture may cause metal fragmentation, damage to the airbag cushion and a total loss of airbag functionality, thereby increasing the risk of injury.

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Mustang model vehicles.

Affected vehicles may have front seatbelt anchor pretensioner cables that have corroded, especially in areas where salt is used for de-icing roads. Corrosion on a seatbelt anchor pretensioner cable may weaken the cable or result in its separation from the anchor pretensioner assembly, reducing the effectiveness of the seatbelt restraint system in the event of a crash and increasing the risk of injury.

The bolts on the rear brake drums are not tightened to the specified torque. This may cause brake fluid leakage and/or brake or wheel jamming, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.
