Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited has announced a recall affecting specific models of Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The recall for the Land Rover Defender is due to a safety concern regarding the raised air intake. The attachment between the air intake and the vehicle's body may not be secure, which could lead to the intake detaching while driving, posing a risk to other road users and potentially causing accidents.

In addition, the recall for the Range Rover Sport involves an issue with the middle seatbelt buckle in the second row of seats. It has been found that the buckle may have been manufactured incorrectly, which could prevent it from locking properly. This malfunction could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision, as the seatbelt may not function as intended.

In total, three vehicles are affected for the Defender model, produced between December 1, 2019, and February 28, 2025, while 122 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured between September 12, 2022, and September 7, 2023, are included in this recall. Owners of these vehicles are encouraged to contact Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited for further instructions and to schedule necessary repairs at their local dealer or authorized repairer.
