Kia Ireland has announced a voluntary recall for specific Kia Rio model vehicles due to a safety concern involving the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU). This unit, which is responsible for the Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Control System, and Traction Control System, can remain powered even when the vehicle is turned off. The recall affects a total of 2,638 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland that were manufactured between December 15, 2010, and March 31, 2017. Owners of these vehicles are advised to check if their vehicle is included in the recall.
