MAN Importers Ireland Limited is conducting a voluntary recall of specific models of vehicles, including the Tourliner, Skyliner, Cityliner, Lions Coach, TGS, and TGX. The recall is due to a safety concern where engine damage could occur in vehicles equipped with D26 Euro 6c engines. This damage poses a risk of engine fires and, in some rare cases, could lead to vehicle fires. A total of 146 vehicles produced between October 1, 2016, and September 30, 2019, are affected by this issue in the Republic of Ireland.
In addition, there is a separate recall for certain TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX model vehicles due to a safety issue with the steering system. It has been identified that the steering shaft and column may not be adequately fastened, which could lead to separation and a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of accidents. This recall affects 12 vehicles produced between September 1, 2023, and August 20, 2024.
