Nissan Ireland Limited has announced a voluntary recall affecting specific models of Nissan vehicles, including the Interstar and Qashqai. The recall is due to identified safety issues that could pose risks to drivers and passengers. In the case of the Qashqai, there is a concern that the fuel line may shift within its retaining clip during engine operation. This movement could damage the fuel line and create a risk of fuel leakage, which raises the potential for a fire hazard. A total of 4,526 Qashqai vehicles produced between 04 May 2021 and 17 October 2024 are included in this recall.
