Porsche Cars Ireland Limited has announced a recall affecting multiple models of their passenger vehicles. The recall includes the Porsche Panamera and Taycan, which may experience a manufacturing defect in the pneumatic spring that could cause the vehicle to drop on one side, affecting driving dynamics and increasing the risk of an accident. This issue affects two vehicles produced between December 19, 2024, and May 22, 2025.
Additionally, certain Porsche 911 vehicles are being recalled due to a production defect where an aluminium butyl mat was incorrectly positioned, potentially leading to improperly secured rear seatbelt buckles. This could result in the buckles releasing during an accident or sudden braking, raising the risk of injury. One vehicle produced between February 16, 2023, and September 13, 2023, is affected by this issue.
The recall also includes the Porsche Taycan, where a defect in the high-voltage battery cells could lead to a short circuit and potentially cause the vehicle to catch fire. This affects 128 vehicles produced between October 21, 2019, and March 4, 2024. Lastly, the Porsche Cayenne is recalled due to a supplier issue that may have led to the installation of defective front axle control arms, which could break and impair vehicle control, increasing the risk of accidents. This affects 128 vehicles produced between May 9, 2024, and June 19, 2024.
