This notice is an update to the previous recall to repair published on 19 January 2023.

A safety issue has been identified with certain IKEA LETTAN mirrors.

The product presents a risk of injury. Incorrect material was used in the manufacture of some wall fittings. The fittings used to attach the mirror to the wall could break, causing the mirror to fall. Anyone nearby could be struck by the falling mirror and injured.

The affected mirrors have date stamps before and including 2105. The date stamp is located on the back of the mirror.

On 13 September 2023, the recall to repair was extended to include mirrors with supplier number 21944 and date stamps before and including 2325.

The affected products were available for purchase from February 2021.

What to do 

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact IKEA to order replacement wall fittings free of charge. Proof of purchase is not required. There are approximately 13158 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
