Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited (Skoda Ireland) is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Skoda Kodiaq model vehicles.

An edge of the inner frame of the front seats may affect the integrity of the side airbag in case of side airbag activation, which could reduce the protective effect of the side airbag and increase the risk of injury to the occupants in the event of an accident.

There are 1,351 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 21 August 2024 to 08 December 2025.

Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited (Skoda Ireland) is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Skoda ITIGO, FABIA, ROOMSTER, OCTAVIA, RAPID, SUPERB, YETI model vehicles.

The risk description reported to us is that a defect in the inflator of the driver airbag may cause uncontrolled inflation and the release of metal fragments when the airbag is activated, which can cause injury to the occupants.

 

There are 4 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 14 May 2014 and 18 August 2016.
