B&Q Ireland Limited has issued a recall for Diall site connectors because they pose a risk of electric shock and fire. The issue arises from reversed live and neutral connection markings in specific batches, which can lead to incorrect wiring and unsafe conditions.

The affected products include the Diall 16A Blue Site connector (Male) and the Diall 16A Blue Site surface socket (Female), with barcodes 5052931116324 and 5052931116331, respectively. Consumers who have purchased these products should stop using them immediately. It is important to check the batch code against the provided list and fully disconnect the product from the electricity supply. B&Q advises that simply switching off at the wall is not sufficient; the plug must be removed from the socket.
