BlendJet Ltd is carrying out a recall of BlendJet 2 Portable Blender.

The risk associated with the product is fire and injury. The PCB (Printed Circuit Board) within the product may overheat while charging causing it to catch fire. Also, in certain circumstances of intensive use, a blender blade may break off, releasing a fragment, with the consequent risk of laceration of an internal digestive organ if it is swallowed.
The brand is BlendJet. The affected units are among the following serial numbers: 5201000000 through and including 5542999999.
Any BlendJet 2 with a serial number that begins with 5543 or a greater number is not subject to this recall, as it already features the updated base.
There are approximately 11,877 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was sold from October 2020 to November 2023
