BMW Motorrad is carrying out a recall of BMW S 1000 R and S 1000 XR Motorcycles.
The affected products were manufactured from 03 April 2019 to 20 December 2022.
The risk reported to the CCPC is that of injuries as following a software update, any custom settings for “Dynamic Pro” mode are reset to factory settings (take-off detection is disabled) without the customer being automatically informed of this reset. As a result, the front wheel lift will neither be suppressed nor controlled, increasing the risk of an accident.
There are approximately 30 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
