Belling gas hobs recalled due to fire hazard from gas supply elbow joint

Glen Dimplex Home Appliance Ltd has identified a safety issue with certain Belling Gas Hobs Gas Supply Elbow Joints. These joints, installed in holiday homes and caravans made after May 2019, may fracture, leading to gas leaks that pose a serious fire risk. This situation could potentially endanger health and safety, making it crucial for consumers to take immediate action.

The affected models include various Belling gas hobs, such as the BEL GHU602GC Sta and BEL GTG60C Blk, among others. Approximately 100 of these products have been sold in the Republic of Ireland, and consumers are urged to check if their gas hob is among those listed. Consumers are advised to stop using their gas hobs immediately and isolate the gas supply by turning off the isolation valve.
