EET Group A/S is recalling its MicroConnect MC-TRAVELADAPTER1, MC-TRAVELADAPTER2, and MC-TRAVELADAPTER3 models. These travel adapters pose an electric shock risk because they lack a tamper-resistant receptacle, which can allow a power plug to be inserted with only one pin connected, leaving the other live pin exposed.
Approximately 165 units of these adapters were sold in the Republic of Ireland between 2023 and 2026. The affected models include 126 units of MC-TRAVELADAPTER1, 1 unit of MC-TRAVELADAPTER2, and 38 units of MC-TRAVELADAPTER3, distributed through various retailers such as DCB Group, Nostra Systems, and Bechtle Direct Limited.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled adapters immediately and ensure they are unplugged from the 230V outlet while the power is off. Customers should return the product to the point of sale for a replacement or refund.
