The risk associated with the product is electric shock and fire due to inadequate insulation which could result in metal components becoming live. The product also presents a risk of fire and damage to property due to poor construction which could result in the base of the product melting.

The brand is Brookstone. The model number is DX-8012. The product code shown on the price sticker and your receipt will be either 439913, 439930, 439943 or 439949. The batch number and the barcode are unknown.

There are approximately 960 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The affected products were sold in stores between November and December 2023.

What to do:

Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.
