Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited recalls certain Land Rover Defender model vehicles
23 July 2025
Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Land Rover Defender model vehicles.
A safety issue has been identified whereby the dimensional tolerance between the lower fixing on the JLR accessory raised air intake (VPLEP0543) and the body A-pillar on which it is mounted is incorrect. This incorrect tolerance can result in inadequate attachment force between the raised air intake and the vehicle. Under high load usually associated with higher vehicle speed, it is possible that the air intake could become partially or fully detached from the vehicle. A partially or fully detached raised air intake could become an obstacle in the road for other road users and could increase the risk of a crash.
There are 3 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 01 December 2019 to 28 February2025.

10 April 2025
Jaguar Land Rover Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Land Rover and Range Rover Sport model vehicles.
A safety issue has been identified whereby the middle seatbelt buckle in the second row of seats may have been produced out of specification. An incorrectly positioned inner cable can lock the belt tongue and prevent correct locking. Seatbelt buckles which do not meet the specifications do not fulfil the requirements of certain safety rules. In the event of an accident, a seatbelt buckle which has not locked properly may increase the risk of injury.
