Motor Distributors Limited (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain ACTROS, AROCS, ATEGO and EACTRO vehicles.
Manufacturing errors in the production of steering components may result in components having reduced fatigue strength or being susceptible to breakage. If one of the components breaks, the steering may fail. Risk of accidents.
There are 95 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 22 August 2025 to 28 January 2026.

Motor Distributors Limited (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain ACTROS, AROCS, ATEGO and EACTRO vehicles.
Ball joints used in steering components (including steering rods, steering push rods, and tie rods) in vehicle types Atego 967, Actros 963, Arocs 964 and eActros 983 may have a manufacturing defect. It cannot be ruled out that individual components did not fully complete the prescribed hardening process and were therefore installed in vehicles without the materials having hardened sufficiently. This may result in increased wear and, over time, reduced fatigue strength, potentially leading to fatigue fracture, which would likely occur at low speeds with high steering forces (e.g., during manoeuvring). In the event of such a fracture, steering control would be lost and there would be a risk of an accident.
There are 23 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 22 August 2025 and 28 January 2026.

Daimler Buses (Mercedes-Benz) is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Mercedes-Benz TC 500, CC 500, MC 500, eIntouro, Tourismo, Travego, Intouro, Tourrider USA model vehicles.
External emergency valve not working. The bore diameter of a component within the door control valve is outside the tolerance. This would lead to the exterior emergency valve malfunctioning.
There are 14 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland.
