Mitsubishi Fuso Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter commercial vehicles.
It was found that a specific production batch of the connecting rod for the front upper ball joint did not have the required material hardness due to insufficient induction hardening in the manufacturing process. This could reduce the strength of the part and, in extreme cases, lead to a breakage. If the front upper ball joint were to break, steering could be impaired, and fragments could fall onto the road. This would increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
There are 43 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 04 March 2024 to 28 November 2025.
