There is a possibility that, in affected vehicles, both displays (the multimedia screen and the instrument cluster) may turn completely black after ignition is turned ON due to a software bug. When this condition occurs, the issue is permanent. With both screens blacked out, the driver cannot access essential information required for safe driving, such as speed, fuel level, and malfunction indicator lamps (MIL). If the driver chooses to continue driving the vehicle without these functions, it may lead to an increased risk of an accident.

There is an error in the specific software calibrations of the Engine Control Unit, leading to an incorrect IUPR (In-Use Performance Ratio) value, when the data is retrieved from the vehicle. This does not comply with regulations. In certain cases, this condition may delay the activation of the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), allowing the vehicle to operate with tail pipe emissions exceeding regulatory limits before the MIL is triggered.

A safety issue has been identified whereby vehicles are equipped with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems that, among other things, control the windshield defroster function. Due to the programming of the HVAC control ECU software, under certain conditions, such as a specific failure mode of the electrical compressor, the HVAC system will enter a failsafe mode that suspends the heater operation of the system and affects defroster function. In some cases, when the vehicle is operated in certain low temperatures, the defrosting performance reduces and may not remove frost, ice and/or fog from the windshield glass. This can reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash in certain driving conditions.

A safety issue has been identified whereby vehicles are equipped with a system where various information is displayed (warning and indicator lights, vehicle gauges, messages etc.) in a 12.3-inch display monitor in the instrument panel. Due to an improper programming of the system, unnecessarily excessive data is written to a memory device causing it to deteriorate. If this occurs, the monitor will not be displayed after IG-ON and will remain in this state permanently. Driving without speedometer and any warning may result in an increased risk of an accident in certain driving conditions.

A safety issue has been identified whereby there is a possibility that certain vehicles equipped with the 1.5L diesel engine may face a premature wear of the camshaft chain. Premature wear occurs primarily due to chain design which causes excessive tension in high engine speed and high engine load conditions. As a result, it can lead to abnormal noise and there is a risk of a breakage of the chain. If this occurs, the engine will stall, including during driving, increasing the risk of accident.

A safety issue has been identified whereby there is an error in the specific software calibrations of the traction (high voltage) battery control unit. As a consequence, a false detection of the battery cell voltage and/or the battery temperature could occur. If this occurs, the failsafe system will cut the motor power to prevent any damage to the traction (high voltage) battery, leading to loss of drive. This may increase the risk of an accident.
