Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited (Cupra Ireland) recalls certain Cupra vehicles

Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Cupra Born passenger vehicles.

Modules in the high-voltage battery that do not meet specifications may lead to a loss of range and cause a yellow warning light to come on. There is a possibility of increased thermal load within the high-voltage battery. Thermal overload may result in a vehicle fire.

There are 40 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 07 February 2022 to 21 April 2024.
