Fiat recalls certain Ducato, Doblo, Scudo, and Grande Panda vehicles due to safety issues

Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) is conducting a voluntary recall of specific Fiat vehicles due to multiple safety concerns. One issue involves certain Fiat Ducato models where a fault in the indicator failure warning system may prevent the warning light from illuminating if an indicator bulb fails. This could lead to reduced visibility for other road users, increasing the risk of accidents. A total of 41 vehicles produced between January 16, 2024, and April 10, 2025, are affected by this issue.

Another recall affects Fiat Doblo and Scudo models equipped with the DV5R engine, with 43 vehicles produced between October 15, 2025, and February 24, 2026. These vehicles may experience engine failure due to a slippage of the water pump pulley, which could misalign the timing belt and potentially cause the engine to shut down. In severe cases, parts may detach and pose a hazard on the road.

Additionally, certain Fiat Grande Panda and 600 models are being recalled due to a risk of fire. These vehicles may have insufficient clearance between the petrol particulate filter and the starter alternator, which could lead to water infiltration and an electric arc in wet conditions. This recall affects 166 vehicles produced between February 25, 2025, and January 23, 2026.

Lastly, there are concerns regarding fuel leaks in some Fiat Ducato models due to non-compliant fuel return pipes, as well as in Fiat Doblo and Scudo vehicles fitted with the DV5R engine. These issues could lead to fuel vapors and potential fires. Affected vehicles were produced between March 19, 2025, and July 4, 2025, and between July 25, 2025, and October 10, 2025, respectively. Customers are advised to contact their Fiat dealer or call Fiat directly for further assistance.
