Gowan Distributors Limited (Fiat Ireland) has announced a voluntary recall affecting multiple Fiat models due to various safety concerns. One of the issues involves certain Fiat Scudo vehicles where corrosion may lead to the breaking of mounting bolts and front control-arm joints, potentially resulting in unpredictable vehicle handling. This recall affects 22 vehicles produced between 11 January 2022 and 30 June 2022 in the Republic of Ireland.
Another recall pertains to Fiat Ducato vehicles, where a problem with the indicator failure warning system may prevent the detection of blown bulbs. This affects 41 vehicles produced between 16 January 2024 and 10 April 2025, which could reduce communication with other road users and increase accident risks.
Additionally, Fiat Doblo and Scudo models equipped with the DV5R engine are at risk of engine failure due to a slippage issue with the water pump pulley, affecting 43 vehicles produced between 15 October 2025 and 24 February 2026. There is also a concern for Fiat Grande Panda and 600 models, where insufficient clearance in the petrol particulate filter could lead to overheating and fire risks, impacting 166 vehicles produced between 25 February 2025 and 23 January 2026.
Lastly, Fiat Ducato vehicles may have fuel return pipes that do not meet specifications, leading to potential fuel leaks in 46 vehicles produced between 19 March 2025 and 04 July 2025. Furthermore, 52 Fiat Doblo and Scudo vehicles may experience fuel leaks due to a non-conformity in the common rail, posing a fire risk. Consumers are advised to contact their Fiat dealer or Fiat directly if they believe their vehicle may be affected.
