Nissan Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Nissan Qashqai model vehicles.
It has been found that the lithium-ion battery may not work as intended as a result of an incorrect software calibration. If regenerative charging occurs under certain conditions, the fail-safe mode may turn off the main relay, leading to a loss of engine power. In the worst-case scenario, the vehicle may come to a stop when in motion due to the loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of an accident.
There are 215 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 8 July 2025 and 20 May 2026.

During engine operation it is possible that the fuel line could move within its retaining clip in the engine compartment. This movement could damage the fuel line, resulting in a fuel leak. This constitutes a fire hazard.
There are 173 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 04 May 2021 to 17 October 2024.

The risk description reported to us is that the strikers of the rear swing doors protrude when the doors are open. This may lead to head injuries to users, especially when entering or leaving the rear of the vehicle, for example during loading or unloading.
